Buenos días.
He iniciado el afeitado con la pequeña ucraniana, pero tal vez por celos al haber usado ayer maquinilla en su lugar, no me ha gustado nada su comportamiento.
Tanto es así, que ha terminado castigada cara a la pared y he echado mano de la Bismarck.
Como el servicio tiene el día libre, me ha tocado salir del baño a buscar a la eficiente alemana. Qué calentito se estaba en el baño.

And I tried a triple tallow craft soap.

Excellent performance. The fragrance smells too much like anise though.
It's supposed to be reminiscent of the spiced wine used here at Christmas, but I don't like soaps that taste like food!

And finally, thanks to a Good Samaritan, my Rotbart came back perfect and gave me an excellent shave.

A castle? Of course: ever heard of Festung HohenSalzburg? 😉
I live in a piece of an old farm: it was too big to be sold altogether.
The kitchen has been added in the first years of 1900 and the entrance/dining room was the original kitchen and there was the oven where the baked bread for all the farmers.
Alas they removed it!

It's pretty funny this place: big rooms as are not built any more nowadays...

The wine? German Gluhwein or Italian Vin Brulè? Mulled Wine?
Many spices, orange slices and wine brought to boiling temperature.

In Italian, Vin Brulè and Vin Drughet sound pretty much similar.
Drughet is the nickname of this forum member: just a pun! 😉

I've never been to that Castle. I've seen it in Austria as one of the biggest in the mediaeval period. Maybe one day I'll pass by there.

Oddly warm day, despite the objective temperature.

A quick shave, with a mild razor, as yesterday had been pretty deep.

I've heard that Oumo is planning a new brush: seeing how things are going, they want to market the Oumo LE 'Frighting for 2021 too'.

And it was a very pleasant shave!

3er uso de la brocha, compra maestra la de este nudo, un Silvertip extra suave, muy denso que transmite una sensación de lujo en la cara

A esta altura, siendo bulb y con la densidad que tiene, no abre excesivamente en cara, que es lo que me tira para atrás con este tipo de pelo, es verdad que esas mismas características la penalizan en el flujo de espuma y la hacen algo perezosa, pero el masaje que da bien merecen esos dos o tres minutos de más que necesito para dejar la espuma al gusto

Maquinilla: Yaqi Mellon DOC de viaje
Cuchilla: Personna Platinum
Post: hamamelis (witch hazel) y bálsamo Nivea 0%

Esta Yaqi es una maquinilla muy permisiva, a veces parece que le cuesta cortar. No es una sensación que me agrade demasiado, sin embargo me ha dejado el coco más liso que un espejo. Pesa bastante, al menos en comparación con mis otras maquinillas. Gran parte del peso está en el mango, que sin duda será un aliado perfecto para viajes que es justo lo que buscaba.

Buenas!! Pido perdón por hacer una consulta por aquí,pero no he encontrado la forma de abrir un hilo. De hecho es la segunda vez que escribo el mensaje porque no sé donde ha ido el otro.
Desde que me inicié en esto del afeitado a navaja, he probado dos Filarmónicas que todos sabemos como suenan, y una T. I que me compré hace unos meses, y con la que estoy muy satisfecho. Pero me dí cuenta que el sonido que hacía cuando corta el pelo es muy distinto al de las Filo.
Hoy he probado una Gelle Freres antigua de 6/8 bien afilada y que ha hecho un buen afeitado, pero que el sonido era cero. Hasta el punto que en los primeros pases he dudado de si cortaba.
La pregunta es:
¿ A qué se debe un cambio tan radical de una navaja a otra?

Como es el Henson?

para mí es una navaja extremadamente suave.
un poco más agresivo que un DE89. pero sigue siendo una buena navaja.
