Además he tenido menos irritación.Poco a poco.Un saludo.

When we arrived at the Conrad Hotel in Thailand, one of the first things we did was rummage through the draws to see what is available at and around the hotel. This trip was going to be fun - I saw male grooming services at the hotel's very own barbershop - not a salon. This one offered wet shaving services along side a humidor and scotch tasting room. They also advertised using all Taylor's of Bond Street (TOBS) shaving goods, so I knew I had to try.

I had quickly shaved with the disposable razor from the room the morning before (1 pass), so I wasn't hurting for a shave, but certainly had enough growth 36 hours later to warrant one.

The old man came out. I was glad he was older. That usually means they know what they are doing. He spent a minute or 2 rinsing his mouth out, and then the fun began. His hands were confident, and he rubbed my face several times to get the "lay of the land".

Then he lathered me up with TOBS Lemon and Lime and applied the first of a myriad of hot towels. I was ready for the shave after the 4th towel, but he kept putting on a new one, an they seemed to get progressively hotter. I tapped out with my counting at about 7 towels.

Then the shave began... I hadn't heard any stropping, and I did notice the cartridge razor with a rather nice handle, and my suspicions of this being a let down were slowly creeping in.

I must say that this guy did know how to use a cartridge razor, and he has a few shaves under his belt. He was like a surgeon with his shaving. I could tell I was going to get a BBS out of this, even if it killed me. Smile

Cheeks chin and neck are easy, but there's one side on either side of my throat that just doesn't like to be shaved. He shaved it... several times... I was sure my neck was covered in blood.

A second pass and a quick touch here and there with a corrugated feather blade (YIKES!), and my surgeon/barber had achieved his goal. I had, for the first time ever, gotten a BBS off a cartridge. I braced for the "home alone" moment with the aftershave, which surprisingly didn't burn much at all. Smile

I walked off amazed at my experience and the smoothness of my face. There was some expected irritation on my throat, but otherwise it was as good a shave as I've gotten from my old time Italian barber Tony before he retired. I highly recommend it if you get to Thailand!

Afeitado del día, lunes 22 de agosto

Menthol Lover Xtreme!!!
:: Myrsol Emulsión
:: Colonel X2L '2-band' & Queen Charlotte Vostok jabón duro (muestra)
:: Bull Mastiff XL & Gillette Bleue #2
:: Osage Rub & 444

- Frank Shaving Finest 2 bandas

This is one of my two favourite brushes, but I can't show the other (H.L. Thäter) until Friday, as I am going to London today.
Tomorrow and Thursday will be my travel gear and Wednesday the barber at Truefitt & Hill will decide what gear to use.
